From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. today the Kentucky State Treasury's Unclaimed Property team is on hand at the Montgomery County Courthouse.
Team members are helping residents search for unclaimed property.
Unclaimed property can include forgotten bank accounts, uncashed checks, utility deposits and other funds that belong to Kentucky residents.
Advocate Senior Writer Tom Marshall checked in the system himself and found out he's potentially owed money from an old bank account. He says the process to search is easy and only takes a couple of minutes.
It's free and secure, officials advise.
