William H. Patton, 88, of Jeffersonville, died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2025, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington.
Born June 12, 1937, in Mt. Sterling, he was the son of the late Linzy and Pearl Anderson Patton. He retired from Walker Construction Company. He and his wife were blessed with five sons, 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He enjoyed many outdoor activities including hunting, fishing and trap shooting. He was a member of the Hope First Church of God. He will be missed by so many who will find comfort in the memories they will forever cherish.
Survivors include his loving wife of 69 years, Frances Marie Sorrell Patton; five sons, William Jr. (Jennifer) Patton of Mt. Sterling, Ronnie Patton of Jeffersonville, Michael (Lisa) Patton of Powell County, Rodney Patton of Jeffersonville and Daniel (Jessica) Patton of Jeffersonville; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a sister, Carolyn (Warren) Rogers of Irvine.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sarah Patton; and sister, Imagean Patton.
Service will be conducted at 1 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 4, at Herald and Stewart Home for Funerals with Glen Sizemore officiating. Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in Stanton.
Pallbearers will be Michael Patton, Adam Patton, Ethan Patton, Daniel Patton, William Parks, Sayre Parks and Christian Parks.
