Local seniors are being invited to come "dance like no one is watching" at the upcoming fifth annual Valentine Senior Sweetheart's Ball.
The dance will take place noon-2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13, at the Montgomery County Senior Citizens Center, 109 E. Locust St.
The event is being hosted by Mt. Sterling-Montgomery County Parks and Recreation.
"We're looking forward to have a good time," parks and rec Executive Director Phil Gross said.
Avon Garrison has donated his services as DJ and will be playing whatever the seniors choose to hear, Gross said.
The seniors will be treated to an ice cream cake courtesy of Greg Waters at Dairy Queen.
The dance is one of the dept.'s more popular activities for seniors. It drew about 50 people last year, according to the dept.
Gross said the event warms hearts by giving seniors an activity where they can be out moving and enjoying company with one another.
There are usually plenty of laughs, he said.
