Shelter announces initiative that will help provide new/adequate doghouses for families in need

From the Montgomery County Animal Shelter:

Exciting community partnership announcement!

Montgomery County Animal Shelter (MCAS) is proud to announce a new initiative in partnership with Humane World for Animals to help support dogs in our community by providing new or adequate doghouses for families in need.

This program is designed to ensure that outside dogs have proper shelter that protects them from the elements and helps keep them safe, warm, and healthy year-round. We know that sometimes resources are limited, and this initiative is one way we can work together to support responsible pet ownership and animal welfare in Montgomery County.

Important Program Details:
• An application process will be required
• Home visits will be conducted as part of the approval process
• Assistance will be provided to qualifying households within the community
More information, including how and when to apply, will be released soon. Please stay tuned for updates and help us spread the word to those who may benefit from this program.
We are excited to partner with Humane World for Animals and grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact—one doghouse at a time.
