Always a strong supporter of the people and communities it serves, Sterling Health Care (SHC) has delivered a number of supporting efforts in recent weeks as planning for spring and summer events kicks into high gear for area organizations. Through a series of donations and sponsorships by SHC, patients and populations of all ages will have more opportunities to achieve better health and enjoy engaging events throughout the Gateway region of the Bluegrass state.
“To whom much is given, much is required,” said Tina Bryant, SHC Chief Executive Officer, in reference to a biblical principle. “Our family at Sterling Health Care is very mindful that we have many resources and talents placed in our care ... not meant for storing but for improving the lives of our valued patients, neighbors and communities. We are thankful and humbled by this responsibility, and embrace the opportunity to help organizations through our donations and sponsorships, to accomplish goals in line with our same mission.”
Parks and Recreation
Locally, Montgomery County Parks and Recreation was among those receiving a donation. SHC joined other businesses to assist in covering costs not covered by fees paid by participants. The donation helped offset fees for items such as equipment, insurance, field maintenance, etc, allowing youths throughout the county to participate in a safe and successful program. Programs provided at this time are fall/spring soccer, baseball/softball and flag/tackle football. Volleyball for youths in third through fifth grades also is planned for the near future.
Four sport teams will directly benefit from the donation as being sponsored by SHC.
Other donations included to HopeFest, Doves of Gateway, Court Appointed Special Advocates gala and the Mt.Sterling Kiwanis Club Pancake Breakfast. Photos were not available of those donations. Scan the QR code for more details!
HopeFest 2026–Hope Hill Youth Services
HopeFest 2026/Hope Hill Youth Services was among other beneficaries. The effort to raise awareness about transforming the lives of children and young adults in foster care, as well as those transitioning to independent living, is the goal of this fundraiser in Hope. SHC’s recent demonstration of support through donation will be instrumental in bringing together supporters, families, businesses and youths for a day of music, games, food trucks, raffles, activities and inspiring stories at Botts Park in Mt. Sterling.
The event is scheduled for Sept. 5, a release said.
DOVES of Gateway
DOVES of Gateway provides services to the Gateway counties of Rowan, Menifee, Montgomery, Morgan and Bath.
Geared towards benefiting survivors of domestic violence in Kentucky’s Gateway region, Purses With a Purpose is a fun, community-focused bingo event raising funds for DOVES of Gateway’s critical services that promote safety, stability and healing for individuals and families impacted by domestic violence. Proceeds from the event and sponsorships like that of SHC help ensure survivors have access to resources, housing, food, advocacy and support.
Bingo, food, beverages, and premium prizes all await at the event planned for Saturday, April 11, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at MeadowView Weddings and Events.
CASA Winner’s Circle Gala
“The Winner’s Circle Gala: A Derby Night for CASA” received support from SHC due to its ongoing dedication to providing trained community volunteers to speak for children in court who are victims of dependency, neglect and/or abuse. Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) consists of volunteers who provide a voice for children who are in the court system through no fault of their own and need support.
Through this gala, the organization raises funds for the program and SHC is proud to support it for the third year in a row. The fundraising event is scheduled for Saturday, April 18.
Mount Sterling Kiwanis Club
A cherished tradition returns on Saturday, April 18, at the Mongtomery County High School cafeteria when the Mount Sterling Kiwanis Club fires up the griddles and hosts its 73rd Annual Pancake Breakfast, sponsored in part by Sterling Health Care. Joined by a host of other local businesses in their support, SHC assists the Kiwanis Club in its own pursuit of supporting vital programs such as Sterling Food Coalition, Post Clinic, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), Homeless Coalition, youth sports, Gateway Children’s Services, Hope Hill, Amtryke Project, New Beginnings and more.
