Rachel Browning, 79, was welcomed home by her Savior, Jesus, Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2025, at the Fleming County Hospital.  

Born Jan. 2, 1946, in Mt. Sterling, she was the daughter of the late Leatha and Raymond Walters.  She worked for several years at various jobs until her health disabled her.  She was a member of Eastland Church of God and loved attending the services until her health would not allow.  She loved to have conversations about Jesus, and read the Bible.  She loved her family. 

Survivors include a precious sister, Janice Corum of Versailles; and several nieces and nephews that were loved by Rachel.

She was preceded in death by a son, Leonard Allen Hurst; husbands, Leonard Hurst and Douglas Browning; brothers, Dallas Walters, Kenneth Walters and Ralph Walters; and a sister, Rilla Garner.  

Service was conducted Saturday, Sept. 6, at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Bill Teegarden officiating.  Burial was in Crown Hill Cemetery in Sharpsburg. 

Honorary pallbearers were Gary Garner and Philip Corum.
