OK, it's Friday, the Sun is out, and we are feeling good! Let's pat ourselves on the back for making it through the week!
Now, look at that picture of our big boy Rambo at the Montgomery County Animal Shelter ... those sweet eyes peering through that kennel.
How could you not vote for him to win the America's Favorite Pet Contest!!!?? Vote at https://americasfavpet.com/share/3b1ec
America's Favorite Pet is an online voting contest hosted by celebrity couple Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg.
You have six days left to vote in the quarter finals for Rambo! It only takes a few seconds! You can vote for free once every day and then after that for $1 per vote. Your tax-deductible donations support PAWS.org in its mission to help sick, injured and orphaned animals.
If Rambo wins he will be featured on the cover of Modern Dog Magazine and the shelter will win $10,000! Imagine how far that would go to help dogs like Rambo and others in need at the shelter!
Most importantly, we are hoping the more you all see his face, it helps spur his adoption!
Rambo has been at the shelter more than 400 days and he's one of the shelter's longest residents. Shelter staff can't figure out why as he's described as a gentle giant.
The shelter suspects his size might be intimidating, but in reality, they say he's super friendly.
“When he does get a treat he always takes it so gently. Instead of barking for it, he patiently waits with thumper feet going as fast as they can. He’s one of the sweetest dogs in the world ... He loves getting kisses and being with people! He even gets afraid of dogs that are as small as 5 pounds.”
Rambo loves pig ears and his green lamb chop plush.
