MSWS advises it will be flushing water lines through hydrants beginning June 24

From MSWS:
Weather permitting; Mt. Sterling Water and Sewer System will be flushing water lines through fire hydrants beginning Wednesday, June 24, 2026 and running through Monday, July 6, 2026. Motorists and pedestrians are asked to use caution where flushing occurs. Please watch for pooling of water in roadways and especially please be aware of our service men in these areas.
There will be hydrants left flushing in certain areas. We do this because it keeps the flow of water moving in the direction of flushing, so we don't lose the progress of the days work. Our service men will be back in the morning to turn them off.
