Included in the filings provided by the Montgomery County Clerk’s Office at press time were Laura Grayson for Mt. Sterling City Council and Everett Dewayne Myers for mayor/Jeffersonville.
The filing deadline for nonpartisan races, however, is 4 p.m. June 2.
Examples of nonpartisan races include offices like the mayor and governing boards in Mt. Sterling and the cities of Jeffersonville and Camargo, school board, district/circuit judge, etc.
The Advocate will update filing lists as additional information comes in.
Also of note are some statewide filings that include state Rep. and state Senate.
