Joseph L. Alexander, 85, of Mt. Sterling, died Sunday, March 22, 2026, at Baptist Health Hospital in New Albany, Ind.
Born Oct. 11, 1940, in Maysville, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Catherine Moran. He was an employee of IBM until his retirement. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include special friends, Perry and Lisa Orme of Mt. Sterling; and his cousin, Donny Moran.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia Updike Alexander; son, Joey Alexander; and daughter, Sandy Alexander.
Service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday, March 27, at Herald and Stewart Home for Funerals with Pastor Chris Wells officiating. Visitation will be 10 a.m.-11 a.m., Friday. Burial will be in Maysville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Perry Orme and David Shepherd.
Honorary pallbearer will be Donnie Moran.
