Hildegard Schmid Willoughby, 80, of Jeffersonville, died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025, at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington.
Born Nov. 25, 1945, in Badersfield, Germany, she was the daughter of the late George and Anna Glass Schmid. She dedicated her life to caring for her family, creating memories they will forever cherish.
Survivors include her loving husband of 61 years, Jackie Coleman Willoughby; daughter, Linda (Jerry) Perry of Jeffersonville; two sons, Robert Willoughby of Jeffersonville and George Willoughby (Sharon Parks) of Jeffersonville; two grandchildren, Joshua Clay Ballard and Hannah Prater; two great-grandsons, Samuel Warren Prater and Jeffery Clay Ballard; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters.
Service was conducted Wednesday, Dec. 17, at the Herald and Stewart Home for Funerals with Robbie Conn officiating. Burial was in Willoughby Cemetery in Jeffersonville.
Pallbearers were Michael Amburgey, Robbie Elliott, Kevin Rudd, Garry Lawson, Mike Willoughby and Randy Willoughby.
