Posted

Henry “Reggie” Regnold Moore, 88, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, May 12, 2026.
Born Sept. 2, 1937, in Mt. Sterling, he was the son of the late William and Mary Lee Campbell Moore. He dedicated his life to hard work and family. He was a loving son, husband, father and friend who left an indelible mark on all who knew him. He worked at Bundy Tubing for 16 years, and played on their softball league for many years. His girls remember spending many evenings at the ballpark and getting home after dark. After Bundy, he worked as a successful home builder, during which time he built over one hundred homes in Montgomery, Clark and Bourbon counties before he retired. He was a man of many passions and a fierce athletic competitor. He graduated from Montgomery County High School in 1956 and played basketball on the 1955-56 team, which was recognized as the best team of the decade. He won the defensive award his senior year for his hard-nosed defense. He also played high school baseball and loved all sports. He was always starting a project, working on a project, finishing a project or planning his next project. He sat in his “thinking chair” as he contemplated these endeavors. He was a devoted member of the First Church of God and loved playing in the church softball league over the years.
Survivors include two daughters, Lee Anne Moore and Susan Moore, both of Mt. Sterling, and granddaughter, Leslie Moore (Shiloh Reeves) of Lewisville, Texas.
He was married for 57 years to his beloved late wife, Paula Ray Moore.
Service was conducted Friday, May 15, at the First Church of God with Pastor David Dooley officiating. Burial was in Machpelah Cemetery.
He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. His big heart, generous spirit, funny personality and unwavering integrity will continue to inspire those he leaves behind. One of his dearest friends said today that he had passed third base and was headed for home.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Reggie’s memory to the First Church of God, 1051 Camargo Rd., Mt. Sterling, Ky., 40353.
Pallbearers were David Rogers, Andy Sallee, Jim Moore, Phillip Fawns, Mike Gee, and Shiloh Reeves.
