Henry Morrison Howes Jr., 81, of Jeffersonville, died Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026 at St. Joseph Hospital Main in Lexington.
Born Oct. 4, 1944, in Owensboro, he was the son of the late Henry M. Howes Sr. and Ava Mae Baker Howes. He attended Antioch Christian Church, retired after 30 years as a millwright with Chrysler Corporation and was U.S. Airforce veteran. He was a hospital volunteer for 12 years, enjoyed old movies and loved spending time with his wife and family.
Survivors include his wife, Ora Lee Howes; son, Robert Kunzmann (Margaret) of Syracuse, N.Y.; daughter, Lisa Howes Pijanowski (Kurt) of Hamill, N.Y.; brother, Jim Howes (Jamie) of Louisville; sister, Frances Martin (Donald) of Somerset; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sons, Jason Howes and Michael Kunzmann; and brothers, Daniel Howes and Fred Baker.
Memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 3 at Antioch Christian Church with Dr. Jason Toler officiating.
