Grace Goebel Colliver Frodge, 98, a beloved fixture of the Mt. Sterling community, passed away peacefully, Friday, Sept. 4, 2026, at St. Joseph Mount Sterling.
Born July 8, 1928, in Mt. Sterling, she was the daughter of the late William and Lillian Copher Colliver. She dedicated her life to her family and faith, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth that will forever be cherished. As a devoted homemaker to her family, her influence extended far beyond her household. She was a lifelong member of the First Church of God, where she enriched the lives of many by teaching Sunday school and actively participating in the Women’s Missionary Group. Her faith and service to others were cornerstones of her existence, pouring into her community with the same dedication she showed her family. She was known for her love of puzzles and board games, often inviting family and friends to share in her joy of these activities. She cherished quiet moments journaling, reflecting on a life filled with faith experiences. Among her many talents, her butterscotch pies stood out, often regarded as the best, making family gatherings even more special and memorable. She was the heart of her family.
Survivors include her son, David Frodge; granddaughter, Elizabeth Frodge Martin (Matthew); and great-granddaughter, Juliet Martin, all who will carry on her spirit and memory.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lewis Frodge; and two sons, Jeffrey Frodge and Larry Frodge.
Service was conducted Wednesday, Sept. 9, at the First Church of God with Pastor David Dooley officiating. Burial was in Machpelah Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in Grace’s memory to the First Church of God, 1051 Camargo Rd., Mt. Sterling, Ky., 40353.
Though she is no longer with us, her love and contributions will remain woven into the fabric of the lives she touched. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
