Frances Moore, 89, of Mt. Sterling, died Friday, July 10, 2026, at Mt. Sterling Health and Rehab.
Born Dec. 23, 1936, in Bradfordville, she was the daughter of the late Les and Lora Mullins Morgeson. If you ever shopped at JCPenney, you most likely met her at the jewelry counter. She never met a stranger and loved to talk to everyone. She was a faithful member of the First Church of God.
Survivors include her husband, Ewell Thomas Moore; two sons, Jim (Sheila) Wooley of Morehead and Gary (Sandy) Wooley of Mt. Sterling; two grandsons, J.P. (Charla) Wooley and Kyle (Leah) Wooley; great-grandson, Kaden Wooley; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Irene Hefner; and two brothers, Clarence Morgeson and Buster Morgeson.
Service was conducted Tuesday, July 14, at Herald and Stewart Home for Funerals with Chris Davis officiating. Burial was in Machpelah Cemetery.
Pallbearers were J.P. Wooley, Kyle Wooley, Jeff Stamper and friends and family.
