Don't miss this week's Advocate: Local teen to have role in Hollywood production Ethan Almighty

The upcoming feature film Ethan Almighty – Ethan’s Law is set to begin production in Bardstown, Ky. bringing star power, inspiration and national attention to one of America’s most charming small towns. Producers have announced that acclaimed actors Trevor Donovan, Sean Patrick Flanery and Selma Blair have officially signed on to the project, with additional star names to be announced in the coming weeks. 

You won't want to miss this week's Advocate, which features a story about a local MCHS student who will have a role in the film!

The film will be directed by award winning director, producer and film editor, Tane McClure whose passion for meaningful storytelling is at the heart of the production. 

Stacey Phelps, president of Bardstown-Nelson County Tourism, expressed enthusiasm about the production coming to town: “We are honored to welcome the cast and crew of Ethan Almighty – Ethan’s Law to Bardstown. Film productions like this highlight the unique charm, history, and hospitality that make our community so special. Film productions bring immediate economic activity to our local businesses, from lodging and dining to retail and service providers. Just as importantly, they shine a national spotlight on our community”.

Phelps told the Advocate Bardstown was chosen as a location because of its Christmas parade, and it ties back into the movie.  However, additional details couldn't be released at this time.

With principal photography set to begin soon, excitement is building as Bardstown prepares to host a film that promises inspiration, heart and an all-star cast. Additional casting announcements and production details will be released in the coming weeks. 

About Ethan: Ethan Almighty-Ethan’s Law is a heartwarming story about a dog named Ethan, whose miraculous recovery from severe abuse inspired the passing of “Ethan’s Law,” an anti-cruelty bill in Kentucky.
