City reminds of ordinance in regard to campaign signs

A reminder from the city of Mt. Sterling: 

It is once again election season! Congratulations to all of the candidates and thank you for stepping up to serve our community!

As a friendly reminder, in accordance with City Ordinance 217-93, political campaign signs are prohibited on public property. The Public Works Department will remove any campaign signs in violation of this ordinance. Also, as a courtesy, please obtain permission from private property owners before placing sings on their property.
