Christopher Nathan Lewis, 24

Posted

Christopher Nathan Lewis, 24, went to be with the Lord Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026, in Mt. Sterling.

Born Oct. 5, 2001, in Louisville, he was the son of Jonathan Lewis and Connie Adams Lewis. He was a dedicated firefighter who took great pride in serving his community and helping others. His commitment to the fire service was more than a career.  It was a calling, he approached it with courage, compassion, and willingness to always lend a helping hand.  He also loved spending time outdoors.  He especially enjoyed hunting and fishing, where he found peace in nature and treasured the time spent with family and friends.  Though his life was far too short, the lives he touched, the friendships he made and the service he gave to his community will remain a lasting part of his legacy.

In addition to his parents survivors include a brother, Caleb Lewis; grandmother, Janet Ridgell; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Service was conducted Thursday, Oct. 1, at Wells Funeral Home with Bro. Anthony Molihan officiating.  Burial was in Scaffold Cane Cemetery in Mt. Vernon with his firefighter brothers serving as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers were Bobby Lewis, Rick Adams, Wesley Lewis, Caleb Williams and Matt Charles.
