Betsy Ann Sorrell Foster, 75, passed away peacefully at her home, Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2025.

Born March 4, 1950, in Mt. Sterling, she was the daughter of the late Paul Sr. and Ann D. Sorrell. She lived a life marked by warmth, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to family and friends.  A proud health care administrator, she dedicated her career to St. Joseph Mount Sterling, where her infectious enthusiasm and caring nature left a lasting impression on her colleagues. Known for her outgoing personality and remarkable rapport with others, she touched the lives of many, never leaving a room without a smile.  She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and also attended the First Christian Church.  She embraced her faith with grace and community spirit, always extending a helping hand to those in need.  Her passion for travel, particularly to the beach, allowed her to create treasured memories with her family, as they explored new shores together.  A fervent supporter of UK athletics, she enjoyed cheering on the Wildcats at both football and basketball games, embracing every opportunity to share her enthusiasm with loved ones.  Her commitment to family was evident through her attendance at her grandsons’ sports games, where her presence and support were always felt.  In her leisurely moments, she found joy in reading and cherished her time by the pool, relishing the beauty of the outdoors.  She embodied the essence of a dedicated grandmother, sharing her love, wisdom, and laughter with her grandchildren.  Her selfless nature and generosity were hallmarks of her character, as she continually sought to uplift and encourage those around her.

Survivors include her devoted husband of 55 years, Sam Foster; children, Kelly Foster and Jay Foster (Casey); grandsons, Max Foster and Sterling Foster; siblings, Paul ”P.T.” Sorrell Jr. (Judy) and Susan Beyer; fur baby, Rudy; and a loving network of family and friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Phillip Sorrell.
