The 73rd annual Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast will be 7-10 a.m. Saturday, April 18, at the Montgomery County High School cafeteria.
The Kiwanis Club is very excited about seeing everyone at the breakfast, Club President Tracy Pearce said, adding it is always such a great time.
The breakfast will include pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon, gravy and biscuits. The cost is $8.
“We have had a lot of support from the business community this year with over 10 sponsorships,” Pearce said. “This is the club’s second largest fundraiser.”
The Diamond Gala, which is scheduled for Sept. 26, at Irish Hills event venue, is the biggest fundraiser for the club.
“Last year the Kiwanis Club donated close to $90,000 to over 50 projects and organizations in Montgomery County focused on assisting the youth and elderly in the community, Pearce said. “Because of the generosity of the community, we are able to make a positive impact for those in need right here in Montgomery County”
Pearce said local businesses that would like to treat their employees who are working Saturday morning can contact the Kiwanis of Mt. Sterling Facebook page or email mtourism@mis.net to let them know the number of meals to deliver.
Take out is also available.
Pearce said the breakfast is also a great opportunity to fellowship with others in the community.
“We would like to thank everyone for supporting our fundraiser,” she said. “We also invite anyone who would like to be a part of the Kiwanis Club to contact any Kiwanis member.”
The club meets Thursdays at noon at the St. Patrick Church Annex on Main Street and the third Thursday of the month at Amazin’ Grazin’ meeting room at 6 p.m.
Tickets can be obtained from any Kiwanis member, at the door, through social media or via mtourism@mis.net.
