Posted

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alma Dean Lyle Dunn, 71, who departed this life Sunday, July 26, 2026, at her residence.

Born July 18, 1955, in Winchester, she spent the past 36 years in Montgomery County.  She will be remembered not only for her nurturing spirit as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the medical field but also for her deep love for her family.  She had a passion for tending to her flower beds, lovingly cultivating blooms that would attract hummingbirds, whose visits brought her delight.  She found peace and solace in nature, and her vibrant gardens were a reflection of her warm and nurturing personality.

Survivors include her devoted spouse, Willard Dunn; children, John Colombe (Toni), Eric Dunn (Brittany), Daniel Dunn (Carmon) and Willard Dunn Jr. (Angel); grandchildren, Brandon Colombe, Jacob Colombe, Taylor Dunn, Lauren Dunn, Kacey Taulbee, Kierra Taulbee, Braxton Dunn, Keaton Carter, Kayla Bell, Nick Atkins, Deon Lanier, Jake Rice, Jordan Dunn, Chase Dunn, Zackary Ritchie, Brendan Hennesey and Kelsey Ritchie; great-grandchildren, Bryson Colombe, Persephone Brock, Hermione Dunn, Bo Dunn and Sutton Bell.  Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her immeasurable joy, and she relished every moment spent creating memories with them.  She is also survived by siblings, Larry Lyle, Joanie Hale, Donna Roberts, Lana Lyle, Lisa Reid and Sara Gates.

She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Lyle; mother, Hazel Stokley; children, Jennifer Colombe and Melissa Dunn; siblings, James Lyle, Brian Lyle, Bonnie Bolduc and Sandy Reed.

She will be deeply missed, but her love and light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew her.
