Albert Dudley Clemons Jr., 79, died Monday, Sept. 8, 2025, in Lexington, with family by his side.
Born Nov. 26, 1945, he was the son of the late Albert Dudley Clemons Sr. and the late Emma H. Scott. He was a hard worker, putting in many years as a tool and dye maker. He worked over 25 years for Hobarts and retired from the Bud Company. For all his hard work, he put even more effort into his family and his love for the Lord. He was a member of Greater First Baptist Church where he was a member of the Layman Board and the choir. He also attended Evergreen Baptist Church for a time. He was a member of the Dirty Dozen club and was known in his community for making homemade wine. His gift of wine was his personal gesture of thanks to his friends and family who helped him out. Most of all he will be remembered as a loving father, brother and grandfather.
He leaves to cherish his memory, two sons, Lashan (Renee) Clemons of Harrodsburg and Troy (Kelly) Darnell of Mt. Sterling; two brothers, Robert (Charlene) Clemons of Sharpburg and Howard (Darmati) Clemons of Mt. Sterling; seven grandchildren, Jazmine Clemons, Jyonna Clemons, Cambri Walker, Holly Marcus, Andrea Darnell, Alajywon Dean and Cherish Kavanaugh; and a host of great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Clemons.
Service will be conducted at 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 20, at Greater First Baptist Church with Reverend Gary Boyd officiating. Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Saturday. Burial will be in the Crown Hill Cemetery.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Martha Allen, Sally Dean and Sandy Walker for the excellent care they provided during his time of illness.
