Posted

From the City of Mt. Sterling;
TRAFFIC AND AFTER-HOURS WORK ADVISORY – After-hours milling and street repair work is scheduled to take place over the coming week along US 60 (Main Street) in Mount Sterling. Although work is scheduled to primarily take place at night, weather and temperature may impact scheduled operations and require some daytime activities. Expect minor traffic delays and noise along this route while work takes place. The current schedule is as follows:

-TUESDAY MARCH 24 – Work begins at 6PM and is scheduled through Wednesday at 4AM.
-WEDNESDAY MARCH 25 – Work begins at 6PM and is scheduled through Thursday at 4AM.
-THURSDAY MARCH 26 – Work begins at 6PM and is scheduled through Friday at 4AM.
-FRIDAY MARCH 27 – Work begins at 6PM and is scheduled through until Saturday at 4AM.

The project area is along US 60 (Main Street) from a point near Willow Street to the Bypass/Winchester Road (approximately one mile total). Traffic control will be enforced, and work will take place in sections. Overnight parking along this route will be impacted, and for those who normally park on Main Street overnight, alternative parking is required while this project takes place.

Once milling is completed, contractors will begin repaving along the route. We will publish that information once it is received. We apologize for the inconvenience this project may cause to residents who live along Main Street. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact City Hall at (859) 498-8725.
