Betty Lee McLean, 92, of Mt. Sterling died Thursday, Nov. 14, 2024, at her residence.
Born Dec. 30, 1931, in Owingsville, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Emma Fanning Coyle. She retired after 42 years at Cowden’s as a supervisor and 25 years at Walmart Deli. Work was her passion and she loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include a son, Mike McLean (Donna Hutton) of Mt. Sterling; grandchildren, Amy Mattingly, John McLean (Susan), Kevin Roberts (Allison) and Matthew McLean; great-grandchildren, Emma Grace Roberts, Addie McLean, Will-Scott McLean, Chole Billiter and Caroline Roberts.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Alvin McLean; daughter, Cynthia Ann Roberts; brothers, Adrian Coyle, Floyd Coyle Jr. and Bobby Coyle; and sister, Glenna Mae Coyle.
Service was conducted Wednesday, Nov. 20, at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Dooley officiating. Burial was in Machpelah Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Matthew McLean, John McLean, Kevin Roberts, Mark Hughes, Charlie Hughes and Tony Arundle.
Honorary pallbearers were Scott “Myrtle” Walker, David Goodpaster, Delphie Jones, Billie Arundle, Mina McLean, Cindy Campbell and the girls at Vintage Studio Salon.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to First Church of God, 1051 Camargo Rd., Mt. Sterling, Ky., 40353.
