Mitchell Ray Allen, 86

Mitchell Ray Allen, 86,  died Friday, Oct. 18, 2024, at St. Joseph Main Hospital in Lexington.  
Born June 22, 1938, in Magoffin County, he was the son of the late James Allen and late Liddie Taulbee Allen. He was a member of the Spring Street Baptist Church.  He worked over 25 years part time at the Cassell Golf Course in Winchester.  He retired from the Rainbow Bread Company.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Bell Allen of Mt. Sterling; sons, Tony (Tracy) Allen of Savannah Ga., Ronnie (Laura) Allen of Nicholasville and Eric (Brandi) Cook of Mt. Sterling; two daughters, Gloria (Jamie) Jelf of Louisville and Tammie (Chris) Hill of San Antonio, Texas; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a sister, Joyce (Russell) Short of Bath County.
Service was conducted Tuesday, Oct. 22, at the Spring Street Baptist Church with Larry Robinson officiating.  Burial was in Machpelah Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Eric Cook, Tony Allen, Ronnie Allen, Jared Allen, Trevor Allen and Anthony Bell.
