Irene L. Orcutt

Irene L. Orcutt, 81, of Jeffersonville, died Monday, Aug. 4, 2025, at St. Joseph Hospital, in Mt. Sterling.

Born June 27, 1944, in Walsenburg, Colo., she was the daughter of late Sam and Mary Cacciatore Clementi.  While raising their three children, Irene and Virgil ran their own businesses in shoe repair, and trucking.  She was a member of the Rolling Thunder motorcycle group and the Pine Grove Baptist church.

Survivors include her loving husband of 64 years, Virgil J. Orcutt of Jeffersonville; son, Danny Orcutt of Jeffersonville; daughters, Delores Mays of Winchester and Judy Shanks of Mt. Sterling;  eight grandchildren, Kapoppa Orcutt, James Orcutt, Alex Orcutt, David Hargis, Mary Beth Jackson, Amanda Strange, Jesse Orcutt and Judy M. Willoughby;  several great-grandchildren; three sisters, Norma Jean Clementi of Arizona, Judy Kelly of Steamboat Springs, Colo. and Annie Steenbalk of Denver, Colo.; and a brother, Johnny Clementi of Denver, Colo.

Service will be conducted at 1 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 7 at Pine Grove Baptist church, 9965 Levee Rd., Jeffersonville with Brother Stephen Kuehne officiating.  Visitation will be 12 noon-1 p.m., Thursday.  Burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be James Orcutt, Alex Orcutt, Kapoppa Orcutt, James Sanson, Nelson Jefferson and Jasper Burge.
