Joan Rose Greer, 86

Joan Rose Greer, 86, of Mt. Sterling, died Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Edgewood Estates in Frenchburg.

Born Aug. 31, 1938, in Montgomery County she was the daughter of the late Edgar Allison Rose and Katie McCoy.  She was a retired auditor for Traditional Bank and attended First Church of God.  

Survivors include a son, Gregg Greer (Lee Etta) of Frenchburg; daughter, Shannon Patrick of Mt. Sterling; grandchildren, Jordan Patrick (Tori), Hayden Holley, Landon Holley, Kittie Perry (Jason) and Jenny Holland (Kelsey); and great-grandchildren, Paxton Patrick, Navy Patrick, Wrenley Rucker and Eadie Holland.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, David Ernest Greer; brothers, Mike Rose, Edgar Rose Jr., Gerald Rose and Gary Rose; and sisters, Peggy Johnson and Mary Leggett.

Service will be conducted at 1 p.m., Friday, July 11, at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Ginter officiating.  Visitation will be noon-1 p.m. Friday.  Burial will be in Machpelah Cemetery.  

Pallbearers will be Jason Perry, Kelsey Holland, Jordan Patrick, Chandler Reynolds and Taylor Rucker.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jean Walters and the caregivers at Edgewood Estates.
