Earl M. “Dickey” Adams, 72, of Mt. Sterling, died Thursday, May 1, 2025, at his home on Cobbler Lane.
Born Aug. 30, 1952 in Pike County, he was the son of the late Carl and Phyllis Stacy Adams. He was a retired teamster from Angelo Concrete in Detroit, Mich.
Survivors include two granddaughters, Lindsey Faith Adams of Pikeville and Layla Adams of Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich.; a great-grandson, Rei Montgomery Prichard of Pikeville; a sister, Charlene Hopkins of Mt. Sterling; five brothers, Carl Adams Jr. of Elkhorn City, Paul (Tracy) Adams of Mt. Sterling, Danny (Annette) Adams of Shelbyville and Bruce (Tammy) Adams and Brian (Kelley) Adams, both of Mt. Sterling; and his dog, Buddy.
He was preceded in death by sons, Anthony, Kevin and Brandon; an infant son, Dickey Neal Adams; and a sister, Dottie Adams Coleman.
Service was conducted Tuesday, May 6, at the Herald and Stewart Home for Funerals Chapel with Mike Stacy officiating. Burial was in Machpelah Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Paul Adams, Bruce Adams, Brian Adams, Zach Adams, Willie Rose and Ryan Daff.
Honorary pallbearers were Carl Adams Jr., Danny Adams and Matthew Adams.
Funeral services entrusted to the care of Herald and Stewart Home for Funerals.
