Edgar Carrol Brooks, 92, of Means, died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2024, at his residence.
Born April 5, 1932, in Montgomery County, he was the son of the late Courtland and Mary Mullens Brooks. He attended Slate Creek Pentecostal Church, was a farmer and mechanic. He loved to coon hunt and fish.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Brooks; sons, Wendell Brooks (Vicki) and Ronnie Brooks, both of Mt. Sterling; daughter, Linda Hutchens (Luther) of Lexington; brothers, Delbert Brooks and Elmer Brooks, both of Jeffersonville; sister, Delores Charles of Clay City; grandchildren, Adam Brooks and Leroy Hutchens; four great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Brooks; and sisters, Irene King and Annie Mae Rowe.
Service was conducted Monday, Sept. 30, at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Junior Williams and Kelly Blankenship officiating.  Burial was in Lovely Amburgey Cemetery.
Pallbearers were William Leadingham, Leroy Hutchens, Wyatt Hutchens, Matthew Brooks, Adam Brooks and Andy Lykins.
