Patricia “Cookie” Shockey Pargen, 75

Patricia “Cookie” Shockey Pargen, 75, of Lexington, passed away peacefully, Monday, March 17, 2025, at St. Joseph East.
Born March 29, 1949, in Wolfe County, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Katherine Craig Shockey. She was known as “Cookie” to most people and worked as a waitress at Jerry’s Restaurant in Mt. Sterling for many years.
Survivors include a son, William Earl (Rachel) Pargen of Lexington; two step daughters, Katherine Spencer of Mt. Sterling and JoAnn Masters of Mt. Sterling; a sister, Kaye Lawrence of Huntington, W.Va.; two brothers, Donald Clay Shockey and David Boyd Shockey, both of Lee City; and a sister-in-law, Rhonda Shockey of Lee City.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John “Cuz” Pargen; and a brother, Billy Joe Shockey.
Per her request there will be no funeral service. Visitation was Friday, March 21 at the Herald and Stewart Home for Funerals Chapel.
