Northview’s Teddy Bear Clinic event stuffed with fun, learning for students

Scartlett Cameriz, a Northview Elementary School student, had her patient checked out by Montgomery County High School student Jaiden Oney during a Teddy Bear Clinic Feb. 28 at the school. The clinic was meant to allow students to see what medical professionals do and ease their anxiety about seeing seeing a nurse or doctor.

Settle named chair of school board
Sierra Martin, assistant director of special education (preschool) (forefront on far right), took those in attendance at a recent board of education meeting, on a tour of the Early Learning Bus the district has unveiled. The bus will travel to different parts of the community to help parents with preschool children. The district received a grant to develop the concept. Tillian Hunt, 2, directly above on left, enjoyed Tuesday’s warm temperatures by climbing around some equipment on the playground at Easy Walker Park. Although the official first day of spring isn’t until March 20, temperatures were expected to remain warm throughout the rest of the week in the upper 60s and low 70s, providing a respite from the winter weather. Tillian is the daughter of Brittany Gallagher and William Hunt.
