Hubert Terry, 87, of Mt. Sterling, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2025, surrounded by family at the VA Hospice Center in Lexington.
Born Feb. 17, 1938, in Beattyville, he was the son of the late Billy and Molly Terry.  He was proud to have served his country in the Navy during the Vietnam era.  He retired from Meritor-Rockwell, an automotive parts company in North Carolina. 
Survivors include a daughter, Gena Terry (Junior Pelfrey) of Mt. Sterling; two sons, Mark Terry (Susie) of Jeffersonville and Michael Terry (Shelly) of Mt. Sterling; three grandsons, Jacob Terry of Lexington, Nathan Terry and Garrett Pelfrey, both of Mt. Sterling; three sisters, Allie Higgs of California, Nettie Issac of Stanton and Julie Koontz of Stanton.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Garrett Terry; a grandson, Jonathan Terry;  two brothers, Herman Terry and Clifford Terry;  two sisters, Shirley Farmer and Faye Bradley.
Service was conducted Friday, Feb. 28, at the Herald and Stewart Home for Funerals Chapel with David Campbell officiating.  Burial was in Machpelah Cemetery with Military Rites by the American Legion Post 22.
Pallbearers were Jacob Terry, Nathan Terry, Garrett Pelfrey, Jr. Pelfrey, Mike Terry, Mark Terry and John Koontz.
