James Harvey Edmonson, 78, of Winchester, died Friday, Feb. 28, 2025, at his residence.
Born July 31, 1946, in Irvine, he was the son of the late Virgil Edmonson and Mabel McPherson.  He attended Hope First Church of God and was a retired engineer for CSX, L&N and TTI Railroads.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.  Some of his favorite things were fishing and NASCAR racing.  He loved attending his grandkids sports events.  
Survivors include his wife, Teresa Wiseman Edmonson; sons, Nick Edmonson (Maliea) of Irvine and Jeremy Puckett of Lexington; daughters, Angie Sherlin (Billy) of Mt. Sterling and Amy Lynn (Tyron) of Winchester; sister, Jenny Croucher (Mike) of Irvine; grandchildren, Alyssa Lynn, Ethan Lynn, Marleigh Puckett, Leyton Puckett, Ashlee Edmonson, Kristyn Bush, Devan Bush, Taylan Arvin, Haley Sherlin and Morgan Vice (Ben); and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Farthing.
Service was conducted Wednesday, March 5, at Hope First Church of God with Rev. Glennis Sizemore officiating and Alyssa Lynn speaking.  Burial was in Oakdale Cemetery in Irvine.
Pallbearers were Tyron Lynn, Ethan Lynn, Michael Wiseman, Marleigh Puckett, Alyssa Lynn and Mike Toy.
Taul Funeral Homes was in charge of arrangements.
