Kelvin Harold Keath, 97

Kelvin Harold Keath, 97, passed away peacefully, Monday, Feb. 24, 2025, at Parkview Nursing Home in McCracken County. Born April 28, 1927, in Montgomery County, he was the son of the late William Edward Keath and Elizabeth Wilson Keath.  He served three years in Germany toward the end of World War II.   After returning to the U.S., he received his agricultural degree from Wesleyan College and University of Kentucky.  He started working for the FDA in 1955.  His promotions in the FDA allowed he and his family to live in several different states.  He retired from the FDA in 1974, and received an Award of Merit.  He and his wife, Mabel moved to the family farm after retirement, where he farmed and started a real estate business.  Over his life he has served as an elder at the Camargo Church of Christ, chairman of the Montgomery Board of Education, and member of the Masonic Lodge and American Legion.
Survivors include his wife of 75 years, Mabel Rogers Keath; daughter, Sharon Kelley (Jim); son-in-law, Steve Midkiff; three granddaughters, Lisa Sullivan (Ronald), Cathie Midkiff Jurich (David) and Carolyn Kelley Tupts (Aaron); and five great-grandchildren, Lincoln Sullivan, Pepperanne Owens, Mya Terrell, Macie Terrell and Jackson Jurich.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Elmer, Klamath and Kendall Keath; a sister, Katherine Redmond Keath Jackson; daughter, Patricia Midkiff; granddaughter, Jennifer Kelley Terrell; and great-grandson, Tate Neil Alexander Terrell.
Service was conducted Monday, March 3 at the Rolling Hills Church of Christ with Jerry Carmichael and Dan Murphy officiating.  Burial was in Machpelah Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Alan Newkirk, Robin Meyer, Mark Ledford and the American Legion Honor Guard.
Honorary pallbearers were Charles Wills, Bobby Amburgey and Gerald Ingram.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Rolling Hills Church of Christ and American Cancer Society.
