Mock trial teams place in top 10 at state; MCHS dominates separate art competition

The team’s two courtroom artists dominated the separate art competition, placing first and second for their sketches depicting a trial. Among many entries from the other team’s artists, Junior Olivia Robinson, at left, was named the state champion and Junior Aubrey Daniels, at right, was the runner-up. Robinson will represent Kentucky at the national tournament in Phoenix, Ariz., in May.

Scartlett Cameriz, a Northview Elementary School student, had her patient checked out by Montgomery County High School student Jaiden Oney during a Teddy Bear Clinic Feb. 28 at the school. The clinic was meant to allow students to see what medical professionals do and ease their anxiety about seeing seeing a nurse or doctor.
