Participating in the groundbreaking at the future site of the Montgomery County Senior Citizens Center Feb. 28 were, from left, Matt Sawyers, commissioner of the dept. for local government; Mt. Sterling Mayor Al Botts; Judge-Executive Chris Haddix, state Rep. David Hale; Lt. Gov. Scartlett Cameriz, a Northview Elementary School student, had her patient checked out by Montgomery County High School student Jaiden Oney during a Teddy Bear Clinic Feb. 28 at the school. The clinic was meant to allow students to see what medical professionals do and ease their anxiety about seeing seeing a nurse or doctor.
