Local resident turns 100, shares secrets to longevity

Ewell T. Moore turned 100 years old Wednesday, Feb. 5. He and his wife, Frances, live together at Sterling Meadows. Ewell said living and eating right and being careful in what you do has contributed to his long life.

Storm causes high water countywide
The Montgomery County Mock Trial Blue Team, above, and the Red Team took the top spots in a 14-team regional tournament held last weekend in Louisville. Both teams now move on the state tournament in Lexington. The Blue Team was named regional champion.
