Mock Trial teams move on to state tourney

The Montgomery County Mock Trial Blue Team, above, and the Red Team took the top spots in a 14-team regional tournament held last weekend in Louisville. Both teams now move on the state tournament in Lexington. The Blue Team was named regional champion. The event drew a considerable crowd despite a threat of rain throughout the evening. Tourism Director Tracy Pearce said the city has never had to cancel a First Friday event due to weather since its inception in 2016.
