Mock Trial teams move on to state tourney

The Montgomery County Mock Trial Blue Team, above, and the Red Team took the top spots in a 14-team regional tournament held last weekend in Louisville. Both teams now move on the state tournament in Lexington. The Blue Team was named regional champion. Blue Team members include, from left: Ariana Morton, Bella Boyd, Liam Bourne, Sara Martin, Rachel Thompson, Abby Jordan, Emma Coats, Noah Spratt, Kira Mills, Loxley Strode, Wyatt Davis, Greyson Arrasmith. Guy, pictured at left, was once housed at the Montgomery County Animal Shelter. He later became royalty after being adopted by Meghan Markle (who went on to become the Duchess of Sussex). The photo at left appeared with an Advocate story in 2018.
