Mattie Faye Jones, 69, of Bath County, died Friday, Dec. 27, 2024, at home, surrounded by family.
Born July 21, 1955, in Mt. Sterling, she was the daughter of the late William and Judy James. She was of the Baptist faith. She dedicated her life to her family and loved taking care of them. She loved every single one of them immensely.
Survivors include her loving husband, Harold Bruce Jones; daughter, Beverly (Bobby) Short of Mt. Sterling; son, David Young Crouch of Owingsville; granddaughter, Lyndsey (Shay) Record of Owingsville; two stepsons, Jeffrey Bruce (Stephanie) Jones and Travis Lee (Kristie) Jones; three step-grandchildren, Gavin, Jasmin and Logan Jones; and sister, Catherine Rene (Kirk) Ross of Owingsville.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Allen James, Edward Lee “Sam” James; and a sister, Allie Joyce Davis.
Service was conducted Tuesday, Dec. 31, at Herald and Stewart Chapel with Donald Foster officiating. Burial was in Kendall Springs Cemetery in Owingsville.
Pallbearers were Kirk Ross, Bobby Joe Ross, Bobby Lee Short, Shay Record, Alan Michael Tapp and Jonathan Ross.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Kendall Springs Cemetery.
Funeral services are entrusted to the care of Herald and Stewart Home For Funerals.
