Linda Prater Skidmore, 74

Linda Prater Skidmore, 74, of Mt. Sterling, died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2024, at St. Joseph Hospital Lexington.
Born July 4, 1950 in Floyd County, she was the daughter of Augusta Prater and the late Alonzo Prater.  She attended Camargo Church of God and was a retired registered nurse for St. Joseph Hospital Mount Sterling.  She was an avid reader, loved the beach and spending time with her family. 
In addition to her mother survivors include sons, Rick Skidmore (Martina) of Mt. Sterling and Dan Skidmore (Rick Wokley) of Ft. Wright; brothers, Mike Prater (Sandy) of Mt. Sterling and Alonzo Prater of Jeffersonville; sister, Alonna Becraft (Frank) of Jeffersonville; grandchildren, Stephen Skidmore (Briana), Zachary Skidmore (Olivia), Nathan Skidmore and Caroline Skidmore; great-grandchildren, Morgan Skidmore and Charlee Skidmore.
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Fredrick Skidmore.
Service was conducted Wednesday, Nov. 27, at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Skidmore officiating.
