Dice Heisman winner as top student athlete

Montgomery County High School senior soccer standout Brogan Dice has been named the Wendy’s High School Heisman Award winner for Montgomery County High School for 2017.

In presenting the award, Wendy’s recognized Brogan as a high character student/athlete who sets the bar through his hard work and leadership by example.

He was recognized for excelling on the field, in the classroom and in the community.

“He has a tremendous work ethic,” said Coach Nick Pannell. “When he missed some games with an injury this season he returned ready to go, as if he’d never missed a game.”

Dice has been a part of the Indians stringing together seven consecutive district championships.

“When you talk about leadership on and off the field and productivity as a player, it’s hard to find players like Brogan who essentially do everything they can to make their team and their teammates successful,” Pannell added.

The award is given annually to one student athlete at Montgomery County.
